Matcha Ice Cream (No-Churn)
Creamy green tea frozen dessert.
Silky, creamy & irresistibly refreshing — your homemade green tea ice cream! Made with ceremonial grade matcha, no ice cream maker needed — easy & simple, and rich in antioxidants & soothing green tea goodness.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (480ml) heavy whipping cream (cold)
- 1 can (14 oz / 397g) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp matcha powder (ceremonial grade)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional mix-ins: white chocolate chips, red bean paste, or mochi
Instructions
- Whip the cream: In a large bowl, whip the cold heavy cream to soft peaks.
- Make the matcha base: In another bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, matcha powder, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.
- Fold together: Gently fold the matcha mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined and smooth.
- Add mix-ins (optional): Gently fold in any mix-ins of your choice.
- Freeze: Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or freezer-safe container. Smooth the top and cover with a lid or plastic wrap.
- Freeze until firm: Freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until solid.
- Scoop & enjoy: Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. Enjoy your creamy matcha ice cream!
Makes: 6–8 servings
