Matcha White Chocolate Cookies

Matcha White Chocolate Cookies

Chewy, sweet-and-earthy cookies.

These chewy, gorgeous cookies balance the earthy depth of ceremonial grade matcha with sweet white chocolate chunks. No artificial flavors or preservatives — best enjoyed the same day!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp matcha powder (ceremonial grade)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (255g) white chocolate chunks or chips

Instructions

  1. Cream butter & sugars: In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Mix well.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined. Fold in white chocolate chunks.
  4. Chill (optional): Chill dough for at least 30 minutes for thicker, chewier cookies.
  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set and centers look slightly soft.
  6. Cool & enjoy: Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy!

Makes: 12–14 cookies

Dr. Kesha's Tip: For extra chewiness, slightly underbake! Best enjoyed the same day.
