Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (40g) rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups (360ml) milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/2 tsp matcha powder (ceremonial grade)
- 1 tsp maple syrup (or honey, to taste)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Toppings (suggested):
- Sliced banana
- Blueberries
- Chopped almonds or walnuts
- Chia seeds
- Drizzle of maple syrup
Instructions
- Cook oats: In a small saucepan, bring milk to a gentle simmer. Stir in oats and cook over medium-low heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until creamy.
- Add matcha: In a small bowl, whisk matcha powder with 1–2 tablespoons of warm water until smooth. Add to oatmeal and stir well.
- Flavor it: Stir in maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt.
- Serve warm: Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings. Enjoy cozy and nourishing!
