Layered dessert with cream and caramel. These Coffee Caramel Parfaits are creamy, indulgent, and beautifully layered — coffee cream, homemade caramel sauce, and cookie pieces in perfect harmony. ☕🍮
Ingredients
For the Coffee Cream
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp instant espresso powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Caramel Sauce
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
For Assembly
- 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/2 cup crushed chocolate cookies or brownie pieces
- Chocolate shavings or coffee beans for garnish (optional)
How to Make It
- Make the caramel: In a saucepan, melt sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until amber. Add butter and stir until melted. Slowly pour in cream (careful, it will bubble). Add sea salt. Stir until smooth. Let cool.
- Make the coffee cream: In a bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, espresso powder, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Dip cookies or brownie pieces lightly in cooled coffee.
- In serving glasses, layer in this order: cookie pieces, coffee cream, caramel sauce. Repeat layers.
- Finish with a drizzle of caramel and garnish with chocolate shavings or coffee beans.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
